Which Way Out: A Heretic Puzzle Companion is a puzzle book set inside a spooky old house you never should have entered. Part of A24’s zineseries, this installment takes inspiration from the 2024 film Heretic starring Hugh Grant, while serving as a standalone publication.

The zine features an introduction by co-stars Chloe East and Sophie Thatcher and puzzles by Brooke Husic and Will Nediger.

We worked with artist KatharinaKulenkampff to create an immersive series of illustrations that depict a playful, yet subtly unsettling world for the reader to puzzle through. Each spread features a single room, with a corresponding puzzle that must be solved in order to “escape.”

Readers can take one of two color-coded paths through the house. The answer to each path can be used to solve a final closing puzzle in the zine.
